Speaking up on your own behalf is the purest form of self respect.

THE WHAT
My practice is about helping people find their voices through building quiet confidence and undeniable presence.
Quiet confidence is not quiet, so to speak, and it’s all about self-advocacy.
Self advocacy is confidently honoring and expressing your needs, desires, and boundaries.
It’s a big part of self respect.
THE WHY
Self advocacy is a form of self respect.
Why we don’t self-advocate:
- We fear rejection
- We doubt our self worth
- We’ve been conditioned to not speak up for ourselves
- We don’t have strong boundries
- We can’t articulate our needs boldly
- We fear being seen as aggressive or rude
- We want to avoid conflict
- We have a heavy dependency on external validation
So we stay quiet and “nice,” but internally there is a battle.

A SOLVE
Learn the feeling. Know what makes you angry, uncomfortable, confronted, or overpowered.
The more self-awareness you have, the easier it is to self-regulate those strong emotions.

Become an investigator
Instead of a judgement, ask WHY first…
- Why is this person triggering me?
- Why does that comment make me so angry?
Take Your Power Back-Unquiet your voice.
- “I understand your point, but I see it differently.”
- “I’m going to take some time and think of that decision.”
- “My perspective is…, so I’m going to make this decision based on that.”
So ask yourself, what conversation am I avoiding? What thing am I avoid doing?
